Often, I try to kiss you,
my eyes closed,
it seems like a moment away from perfection,
until I open my eyes and realise
it's only the wind I'm kissing.
A lifetime spent alone,
no hand to touch me,
no lips to kiss me,
nothing but dreams and longing..
Every dream I dream,
every tought I think,
it is always you, angel.
Sometimes I feel your arms around my waist,
or your soft hands wiping the tears from my face,
but then I open my eyes and look around,
I realise that nothing changed,
that my dreams stay dreams,
and my life stays sorrow,
and that my mind is just playing games with me.
A lifetime spent alone...
Is that really my destiny ?..
